Learners from the Adult Learning Service in Ryedale exhibit course work
Two exhibitions of inspired work by learners in a class run by Adult Learning tutor, Penny Highmoor, have been held in The Crown Hotel, Malton.
The first exhibition, Carnival Arts was held at the end of 2007 and produced amazing mask pieces as illustrated by one of the pictures here.

During May 2008, a second exhibition was again hosted by The Crown Hotel, and Penny's group, all adults with learning disabilities, produced astonishing pictures based on the work of well known artists including Gustav Klimt, as above, and Andy Warhol.
The staging of the exhibitions was a new venture undertaken by the the Crown Hotel, known locally as Suddaby's, but judging by the picture below, taken at the Opening Event of the Carnival Skills it is one which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended - learners, Adult Learning staff and public viewers alike!
