Using a Document Camera in the Classroom

Document Cameras or Visualisers can be a very useful tool to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.

Document Cameras allow you to display clear, enlarged pictures of almost anything on your interactive whiteboard or computer screen. Anything from an object, like a crystal or flower, to a photo or piece of text, can be instantly displayed so that the whole class get a clear view.
They are particularly useful for sharing childrens' work for discussion during plenary sessions, making peer and self-assessment activities easy to organise.

Document Cameras are now much less expensive than they were and can be a really useful tool. You can also obtain them through the Tesco Computers for Schools voucher scheme.
