Care Matters: Consultation
Care Matters sets out a radical package of proposals for transforming the lives of children in care.
The Green Paper proposes policies to ensure earlier interventions and give support to children on the edge of care. It includes proposals to strengthen the corporate parenting role, build quality placements, ensure a first class education and develop a positive life for children outside of school.
It is of interest to young people, their parents and many different professional groups working with children. You are invited to forward your views either directly through the website - www.dfes.gov.uk/consultations - or contribute to the response from the Children and Young People's Service by mailing paul.nixon@northyorks.gov.uk, maureen.howard@northyorks.gov.uk or liz.carr@northyorks.gov.uk with your views before 10 January 2006.
